- Description
I think this is my weirdest plant for one very specific reason: it doesn't have any leaves. What you're looking are peduncles and apparently they can photosynthesise to allow this little weirdo to grow. Isn't nature wild? The mother plant has flowered for me a few times but the blooms are short-lived and drop really easily when the plant is moved. I tried my best to get a photo of it in bloom - see my efforts in the last photo.
Because of its oddness I tend to baby this plant - it's my only Hoya to be granted space in a tent. But it has been remarkably easy going and is a firm favourite. This prop is well established and ready for a new home.
- Growing conditions
The propagation is growing well in in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ºC with humidity around 90% RH. I would advise you to keep the plant in higher humidity while it recovers from the journey. You should still be able to acclimatise down to household conditions once it's established.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
