- Description
Can you have enough carlas? I don't think so. And if you haven't dipped your toe into the species yet, then this is the perfect opportunity. These are well-established plants in 7cm tower pots with roots for days. As with most Anthurium, carlablackiae tend to rounden as they mature, but I hope they do keep some of this narrowness. That plus the clear veining makes for a stunning plant.
Plant F is interesting as the emergent leaf looks much more green than usual carlablackiae emergents. The older leaves are as dark as you'd expect. Maybe she got more light than was good for her, but I do love this olive colour.
- Growing conditions
The seedlings are currently in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ?C with humidity around 90% RH. Click here to read my blog on how I grow from seed. The parent plants generally appreciate higher humidity so the seedlings may too. You should still be able to acclimatise down to household conditions once it's established. But be aware it may give you some funky leaves as it gets used to its new conditions.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
