- Description
Obtusum is such an understated Anthurium. She lives very happily in ambient temps and humidity and has a nice growth habit with relatively small, pendant leaves. The mother of these seeds is a self of the first obtusum I got about 3 years ago as a berry. So these are the grandchildren. No effort is needed for pollination of these plants so this may be a self or it may be an f2 with the mother's own mother (there's just no stopping them).
The first two photos show the mother plant with the bright purple spadix. Seedlings are sold as grower's choice and the last photo shows an example.
- Growing conditions
The seeds are currently in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ºC with humidity around 90% RH. Click here to read my blog on how I grow from seed. The parent plants grow well in household conditions and I would expect the seedlings to be easily acclimatised to lower humidity once they've grown a little.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
