- Description
This species is a bit of a mystery to me. I bought it as Philodendron quercifolium but Kew has that listed as a synonym of pedatum (it says that they're the same plant). However, if you've seen pedatum you'll you'll know that it looks quite different! So my best guess is that this is some kind of cultivar of pedatum that has been selected for the particularly narrow pinnate lobes. I believe it also goes by the name pedatum 'Glad Hands'. The good news is that it's as easy to grow as pedatum and it's such a cool looking plant!
This propagation is the top cut. It's well rooted and ready to pot up when you receive it. It will grow best if you give it something to climb.
- Growing conditions
The propagation is growing well in household conditions. For me that's around 18-24 ºC with humidity around 55-65% RH. I would advise you to keep the plant in higher humidity while it recovers from the journey and then you should be able to easily acclimatise to your household conditions.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
