- Description
There are so few Chlorospatha in cultivation and it is a shame as there are some stunning species, not least this one. I'll be honest: I don't find it to be the easiest plant. Everything can be ticking along nicely and for no apparent reason they decide to look sad. They do appreciate extra humidity and definitely don't like too much light. They're also not massively keen on being shipped so do be prepared to give it extra humidity (e.g. in a prop box) while it settles. I hope I haven't scared you too much, they really are beautiful plants and absolutely worth the effort.
- Growing conditions
The plant is growing well in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ºC with humidity around 90% RH. The plant generally appreciates higher humidity. You may still be able to acclimatise down to household conditions once it's established but it is a tricky plant. Be aware it may give you some funky leaves as it gets used to its new conditions.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
