- Description
This is the first intersectional hybrid I've made (see the glossary for an explanation); I was so excited when the pollination was successful! I only got about a quarter as many berries as my Mag Verde usually gives. About half the seeds didn't germinate and many of the ones that did were very runty. So I only have a few sturdy seedlings. I am very tempted to keep them all and grow them out but I'm reminding myself why I've built this site and am (grudgingly) offering a couple for sale. I think (and hope) that they will grow to be unique plants with an interesting combination of both parents' traits. Fingers crossed...
These seedlings are really starting to grow well now so I'm (very) slowly parting with a few more. They're showing some lovely traits of both parents. I've got a couple that are showing this beautiful shape with slightly flattened sinus and some added shine and slightly leatheriness from the pedatoradiatum. They're such beautiful plants. And so close to my heart.
- Growing conditions
The seedlings are currently in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ºC with humidity around 90% RH. Click here to read my blog on how I grow from seed. The parent plants grow well in household conditions and I would expect the seedlings to be easily acclimatised to lower humidity once they've grown.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
