- Description
Ever since the first inflo appeared on this mother plant, I've wanted to self pollinate it. The peachy orange colour of the emergent leaf is like no other Anthurium in my collection! I really wanted to mix all those genes up again and see what we get. There's no guarantee that the seeds for sale will grow up to look like the mother plant but I can't wait to watch them. The first two photos show the mother plant (the first with that orange emergent and the second in my tent as it's too much of a beast for me to move now!). The third photo shows the seedlings which are now popping their second and third leaves. There isn't much variability so I'm leaving them as grower's choice. As always, I'll choose the seedlings that are furtherest along when selecting which to send.
- Growing conditions
The seedlings are currently in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ºC with humidity around 90% RH. Click here to read my blog on how I grow from seed. The parent plant is loving life in my tent so the seedlings may too. You should still be able to acclimatise down to household conditions once it's established. But be aware it may give you some funky leaves as it gets used to its new conditions.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
