Carlablackiae GPH001 is iconic for a reason. And this self of Alex Papa's is one of the nicest selfs I've seen: such clear veins and a perfect heart shape. I can't wait to see how the cross dark forgetii grows out. The forgetii pollen was donated by Ellie Bisping (check out her Insta vault.of.velvet) and the plant doesn't have a speck of silver on it. A gorgeous dark forgetii. You can see both parent plants in the last photo.
This is the last of my hoarded plants for this cross. I held it as the sinus looks to me like it could close (absolutely no guarantee, of course). And it's beautifully dark with clean veins. Another hard one to let go of!
- Growing conditions
The seedlings are currently in a propagation tent which sits around 20-24 ºC with humidity around 90% RH. Click here to read my blog on how I grow from seed. The parent plants generally appreciate higher humidity so the seedlings may too. You should still be able to acclimatise down to household conditions once it's established. But be aware it may give you some funky leaves as it gets used to its new conditions.
- Quality assurance
All plants come with a plant passport or Northern Ireland Plant Health Label. Where necessary plants have been acclimatised after import for at least a month and only listed when they have new growth.
